As part of our commitment to righteousness, Pi Delta Psi is proud to be
an active participant in the enrichment and support of our community. Through
service and philanthropy, the fraternity hopes to spread cultural awareness
through the Ithaca area, doing more than just "giving back" to the community
but also giving them an opportunity to interact with a diverse group of
young men, an important step in the road to cultural education, understanding,
and tolerance. Listed here is just a sample of the events and activities
through which we involve ourselves with the community.

The Kappa Chapter is proud of the host of awards we have received for our outstanding contribution to the community and the university. Listed here are a few of the awards we've received on behalf of our philanthropic efforts. Be sure to check out the About section for a listing of all our awards and accolades.
2005 Cultural Food Tasting was a great success as we raised over $150 for victims of Hurricane katrina. The money was donated to the Red Cross.
2005 Scarecrow Jubilee was a great success as most of the brothers showed up to the event to volunteer their services. Scarecrow Jubilee is one of the many Kappa Chapter traditions that we participate in every year.
The Cornell University Chapter of Pi Delta Psi has won several awards for their efforts in Ithaca and the surrounding community, including the Cornell University Community Service Award two years in a row.
Cornell PDPsi is the first Asian Greek organization to have participated in the annual phonathon. We were awarded with the distinction of Top Fraternity Participation in the Cornell University Phonathon two years in a row.
2001's Scarecrow Jubilee was dedicated in memory of David Meng for his outstanding contribution to the success of the event the previous year.

Brothers participate in the annual 2K walk in order to raise money and awareness for the March of Dimes foundation.
We serve, on a regular basis, at the Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen in downtown Ithaca, providing our services to those in need.
Pi Delta Psi volunteers at the salvation army soup kitchen by serving, cooking, cleaning, and setting up meals for the less fortunate of the Ithaca and Tompkin's County area. Additionally, PDPsi has also worked with the Salvation Army in raising money for the 9/11 relief fund.
Pi Delta Psi participated at this Ithaca-area children's festival sponsored by the Cayuga Nature Center. Brothers helped at various stations and booths.
PDPsi annually participates in this Cornell Tradition, by joining in on the festivities and lending a helping hand to provide children in the Ithaca area a day of fun and smiles.
Annually volunteering as telephone operators, we raise money to fund valuable Cornell scholarship programs, in order to help students in need.
Brothers participated in this Ithaca Children's Garden event by helping local children assemble scarecrows at Cass Park.
PDPsi brothers participated in this program by helping to recontruct dilapidated homes in the Ithaca area.
Every year, Pi Delta Psi aids IBCA by raising funds to further educate men and women about breast cancer and its prevention.
Pi Delta Psi helped comfort and provide company to senior citizens at the Lakeside Nursing Home. Activities included discussions, playing games, and making autumn decorations for the home.
Brothers helped this anti-violence, anti-domestic abuse organization by tabling information on campus.
Pi Delta Psi joined the Ithaca community to raise money for violence prevention outreach. Brothers attained sponsorships to walk through the streets of Ithaca.
Brothers participated in the alpha Kappa Delta Phi Pie in Yo Face charity auction to raise money for scholarships given to Ithaca area students. Brothers were auctioned off to be pied in the face.
In the Spring of 2001, Pi Delta Psi brothers auctioned themselves off at the Chinese Students Association's Charity Auction to help raise money for the Indian Earthquake.
In the Fall of 1999, the brothers aided aKDPhi in raising money for the Taiwanese earthquake victims.
PDPsi set up an Origami booth to teach and expose Japanese paper art to children in the Ithaca community at 2002's Crayon Carnival.
In the Fall of 2002, Brothers of Pi Delta Psi visited this
Community center and spent time with kids from the Ithaca area.
